Each year, the Society of Hospital Medicine’s (SHM’s) annual meeting brings together more than 2,600 professionals for education, collaboration and professional development. The scientific abstract and poster competition, known as Research, Innovations, and Clinical Vignettes (RIV), showcases emerging science, innovative approaches to care and novel clinical cases through on-site presentations. This year’s annual meeting, Hospital Medicine 2013 (HM13), featured 588 abstracts selected from among 800 submissions for poster presentations. Featured here is a sampling of PDFs of the poster presentations from the top 100 of this group that were selected as finalists for judging on-site at HM13. Presentations from the poster winners in each category are also featured.
